About these photographs:

This website began as a project when I decided to start
organizing my fathers photographs. I found many in scrap
books and many in shoe boxes and mixed in with
miscellaneous papers.
Then i decided to scan them in and make a permanent
record of them. I spent hours with my father, he has the
patience of a saint, asking him questions about each one.
I wanted to know who was in them, where they were, and
what they were doing. I was amazed that he could still
identify most of the people in theses photographs.

I thought it was important to capture as much information
as i could about each one. In addition to details about the
content of each photograph, I have also been able to
identify who took some of the photographs. Where I was
able to do this I have listed the proper photo credit for
the photographer.

I posted this collection on www.pbase.com/tinpan a
photographer's website. It soon became apparent that
someone needed to publish a website for the Burma
Banshees so people could see these wonderful photos.
