Modelers Notes: Generally speaking all of the planes in the 80 th Fighter Group were painted Olive Drab over Pale Blue or Grey. THe Spinners were painted as follows: 88th - White 89th - Red 90th Blue 459th- whatever they wanted Exceptions were Al Evans Group Commander  had a Red Spinner and Group Commander McElroy's was Red with a White Stripe Plane numbers generally were: 88th - up to 39 89th - 40s, 50s and 60s 90th 70's and up 459th - ?
